Reconsider and attribute the right value to the dog that, in history, has accompanied man in his evolution process.
Our focus is specifically on free dogs that are often associated with a problematic reality nowadays
MISSION AND OBJECTIVES
Our history, our future
STRAY DOGS is an international project that was born in early 2015. The intent is to document and study the different realities in the world where dogs still live in a state of freedom, on the borders of human settlements.
VISION
The concept of "world heritage" is commonly misunderstood in an anthropocentric sense. The human being is not the only species to have rights in this world. Preserving bio-diversity and aiming for "sustainability" should be the conditions that animate our actions.
MISSION
The main objective of the association is to analyze, both theoretically and practically, the various aspects related to the coexistence of species in freedom, with the aim of mediating and creating the conditions for a peaceful coexistence.
At the moment what is certain is that the definitive solution to the problems related to the sharing of environments does not exist, but it is also true, and demonstrable, that by acting on several fronts, by means of several small actions studied and set in a prudent way, excellent results can be achieved short-term results and objectives, both for people and for animal welfare and protection.
The approach aims to be scientific and objective, so that the data collected can confirm or refute the effectiveness of the proposed interventions over time.
There is certainly a lot to do and the road is still long, but to deepen and better understand the world of free animals is fundamental for our purposes, in fact it is often counterproductive to act even before knowing things.
